Dr. Jennifer Bachiu
Dr. Jennifer Bachiu was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. After high school she attended the University of Regina for three years before being accepted into the Optometry program at the University of Waterloo.
After graduating in 1999, Dr. Bachiu moved to Calgary, Alberta. During her time there she practiced alongside an ophthalmologist specializing in ocular pathology. She also travelled to El Salvador after the devastating earthquake in 2001 to participate in a Gift for Eyesite program.
Dr. Bachiu enjoys the diversity of practicing full scope optometry as she loves meeting and connecting with new people. She has a special interest in both children's eye care as well as contact lens exams including multi-focal contact lenses.
She caught the travel bug at an early age and has visited over 15 countries. In her spare time she has a dedicated yoga practice and has completed her Level 1 yoga teacher training.
She enjoys anything involving personal development and being on the water especially stand up paddle boarding. She has combined both those passions by participating in the last 7 consecutive years of Keep Calm Paddle On, an annual stand up paddle board event that raises awareness for positive mental health.
Her greatest joy and passion is from being a mom to her son Lucas.
